Head Engineer
Head Engineer, Mikaelin 'Blue' BlueSpruce (he/him), has recorded and mixed music for the industry's biggest names, such as Mariah Carey, Solange, Carley Rea Jepsen, Dev Hynes Kendrick Lamar, Black Thought, Common, Lil Wayne and more. He is a Grammy winning engineer with over 20 Billboard Top charting songs and albums. He has mixed the score for major motion picture 'Queen & Slim' and also 'the Hamilton Mixtape" which were two culture shifting projects.
He moved to New York, from Seattle at the age of 18, as a DJ with aspirations of becoming a studio engineer. He graduated with Honors from New York University's program for Music Technology, and worked as an intern at Jay-Z & Just Blaze's Baseline Studios. After doing years of freelance work in studios such as Quad and Sony, he found a permanent home at Lounge Studios.
He won a Grammy award for is work on Solange's historic album 'A Seat At The Table. Before that Blue received a Grammy nomination for his work on Prince Royce's platinum debut album. He has also recorded and mixed Time magazine's #6 song of the year "Stillness is the Move" for Solange Knowles.

Jesus
Jesus made the decision to develop his love for music into a career and studied audio engineering and production at the Institute of Audio Research in New York City. He then refined his skills as an intern for Kaleidoscope Sound in Union City, New Jersey, where he was quickly promoted to an assistant engineer. Initially introduced to the staff at Lounge Studios as an intern, Jesus’ capabilities and artistry landed him a contract as a recording engineer shortly after. Jesus now works in Vanilla Sky Lounge with the likes of K Michelle, Ty $, Kehlani, Elle Varner, Skizzy Mars , Melanie Martinez , Sean Paul , Joel Ortiz, DJ Webstar, Stalley of MMG and many more.
Cody
Dan The Man has been a highly sought after engineer in the music industry for over 15yrs! He has worked with the likes of Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Big Pun, Maria Carey, French Montana, Young MA, Smoke DZA, Robert Glasper & G Eazy! Dan’s strength lies in his experience and ability to connect with clients in a way that makes clients feel like they can bring their dreams to reality!
Cody is an amazing engineer with years of experience at another successful recording studio in NYC as Head Engineer. Cody studied at the renowned American University's School of Audio Technology and has a strong background in Hip Hop and R&B. Cody also is well versed in live recording techniques including piano, strings and brass. We brought Cody on to the team because of his natural ability to work connect with the artist in a way that makes the artist seem like Cody studied the song before they arrived at the studio. He really does get that locked in to his sessions! This guy will blow you away...
Danny
Danny has worked with some of the top talent on the NYC Music scene. He most recently has been working with the star comedian turned Music Artist @FATBOY on his upcoming release. With over 6yrs experience recording and mixing at a studio frequented by the likes of Cari B, A Boogie & Fetty Wap, we are thrilled to have him on board! Danny is sure to take your sound to the next level!
Zena
J Soundz
J soundz moved to New York, from Atlanta with the goal of becoming one of the top engineers/producers in the Industry. Before his move to New York he interned for Mikaelin 'Blue' BlueSpruce at Brown Sugar Recording Studios in the summer of 2009. Jsoundz attended SCAD in savanna GA and studied sound design. He then later worked briefly at Soul Asylum Studios in Atlanta. In the summer of 2010 he received a call from Lounge Studios in New York with an opportunity to engineer and produce at Lounge Studios.
J soundz has since worked as Cheif Engineer for Atlantic Records Recording Studio. He has engineered for some of the Industy's top artists such as Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Sevyn Streeter, Wyclef, BOB, Bun B, Ty $, Elle Varner, Skizzy Mars , Melanie Martinez , Sean Paul , DJ Webstar, Kardinal Offishall, Ed Sheeran , Rockie Fresh, Hoody Allen, Casey Veggies, Travis Scott , K Michelle , Lil Boosie , Stalley, Icona Pop, PNB ROCK, Monty, 21 Savage, Lil UZI & more!
Zena (them/they) is an incredible engineer/producer that specializes in a mix between urban an alternative music. A singer and multi-instrumentalist Zena’s engineering skill have been honed through study at SAE Institute of Technology & years as an adjunct recording engineer at Lounge Studios.
Zena has and continues to work with Top Billboard charting artist as an engineer and as a producer. They are slated to have music production on Billboard charting artist AVA RAIIN's upcoming album. You can rely on Zena to really help bring your musical dreams to life!
