General Policy FAQs

Is Lounge Studios a smoking facility?
No. Lounge Studios is a completely non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted in any studio room, hallway, bathroom, lobby, or common area. Clients who wish to smoke must exit the building entirely. No exceptions.

When does setup time begin for my session?
Setup time begins at the official start of your booked session time — not before. Please include all setup needs within the total time you reserve.

What types of setup time should I account for?
Clients should include time for:

Drum or instrument setup, Additional microphone setup, Seating rearrangements, Camera positioning and framing, Lighting setup, Prop setup, Streaming or remote guest setup, Testing audio/video routing
Setup is not completed before the start of your session.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
All bookings require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This policy applies to all services and bookings.

Do first-time clients need to bring ID?
Yes. First-time clients must present a valid government-issued photo ID that matches the payment method used for the booking deposit.

What happens if I forget my ID?
If you do not have a matching ID, the full service amount must be paid in full through:

Venmo
Once the replacement payment is received, the original booking deposit will be refunded.

Do new clients need to complete paperwork?
Yes. First-time clients are required to complete and sign a digital sign-in form upon arrival. The form includes:

Is overnight storage allowed?
No. Overnight storage is not permitted unless approved in advance by management.

What are your operating hours?
Lounge Studios is generally open:

Monday–Friday: 10am–3am

Earlier start times are maybe available but must be requested before booking.

Current mixing rates include:

Does the Ebony room include Pro Tools or a DAW?
No. Clients booking Ebony must bring their own laptop and preferred DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Clients can connect directly to our interface and use the room’s microphones and speakers.

Do you offer ADR recording for film and television?
Yes. Lounge Studios offers ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) services for film, television, streaming, and digital media projects.

Do you record audiobooks?
Yes. We offer professional audiobook recording in acoustically treated recording environments suitable for narration and spoken-word projects.

Do you offer voice-over recording?
Yes. We provide voice-over recording. The best rooms for this are Ivory if you need an engineer for real-time editing, or Lil Vern/Big Vern if you do not need on location editing.

What is the maximum room capacity for audio studios?

Yes.
For Lil Vern:

Yes. Big Vern offers an optional late-night show style desk rental for $100.

Photo & Video FAQs

Do your photo and video studio rentals include a photographer or videographer?
No. Studio bookings are for the rental of the space itself. Photographers and videographers are separate services and are not included unless booked additionally.

What if I want to use the Laser Pyramid EFX?
You need an Assistant to help manage specialty lighting and laser effects during productions.

Can I bring props, catering, or my own production team?
Yes. Outside props, production teams, and catering are permitted unless otherwise specified for your booking

Do you offer event, showcase, or listening session rentals?
Lounge Studios only offers creative event rentals for very specific pre-approved situations. Please enquire with the front dest before booking.
